They are so cute!! They are important pollinators and are great for keeping insect populations at sustainable levels! Every time I see one, it makes me smile :-)
I love all sorts of creepy crawlies (I wouldn't call myself Vermin if I didn't have a soft spot for the less-loved creatures), but I'm particularly fond of bats. They just want to huddle together in dark corners and eat bugs...

Puppets are awesome. Practical effects in general kick ass, but I love puppets.

Discs. Truly, my first love. I would never betray her. In a world of rentals, subscriptions, the intangible, and the ephemeral-- Discs are always there for me. Buy them once, own them forever. Keep them on your shelf and never have to pay for the right to view them again. No "user license" to be revoked, no middlemen, no internet connection required: just me and Discs.

One of my favorite games of all time.
It's the sort of game you're better off going in blind, if you haven't played it already, so I'll keep my gushing relatively spoiler-free. It's a roguelike deckbuilding game with a dark feel to it. You, the player, are locked in a dark cabin with an unknown individual with unknown intent. Cards are played by sacrifing other cards, the scales that keep the score are weighted with teeth-- false or otherwise. All of it lends itself to the sense that you're playing for your life. But the further you progress... the more questions you'll have.
The absolute sauce of this game is like no other. The core rules are distinct, the visual style is deliciously crunchy, and the story is compelling. Perhaps this says more about me than the game itself, but: The ending sequence of this game really sat with me. Made me tear up. There's an encounter at the very end that will tug at your heartstrings in unexpected ways (if you've played the game, I'm sure you know what I'm referring to).
Many people decry its ARG elements, and I admit, they are the weakest part of the game's narrative. But there is no such thing as perfect art, and you shouldn't let a small detail (that's completely optional to engage with) stop you from experiencing a truly wonderful game.
